LifeQuest

LifeQuest is the name given to the overall discipleship ministry of the church, giving a more focused and integrated approach to helping people grow spiritually, strengthen their marriages and families, and discover real purpose in life. "I have noticed that people tend to live at one of three levels," explained Kirk Shelton, Pastor of Discipleship and Growth. He added, "Many times we are only living at the survival level, just keeping our heads above water financially, emotionally, and relationally. What we are trying desperately to reach is the success level of life, thinking that success will fill the emptiness inside. It doesn't. What people really want and need is to discover the significance level of life---a place where we are fulfilling our ultimate purpose in this world. Helping people do that is what LifeQuest is all about."

LifeQuest is built around six key areas of life and growth, all necessary to experiencing significance and meaning in life. The six areas are identified as:
Worshiping---experiencing a meaningful relationship with God
Connecting---developing genuine relationships with other Christ-followers
Growing---learning and applying the life-changing principles of God's Word
Praying---accessing God's power and presence for daily living
Serving---finding meaning and purpose through serving others
Reaching---living a redemptive lifestyle and impacting the world

Fellowship provides a variety of resources and ministry opportunities to assist people in these areas of growth and experience. Their newly-developed Life University classes offered for adults on Sunday mornings, HOME Groups throughout the community, Men's and Women's Bible studies, support groups, and a varied offering of ministry and mission opportunities all equip people for significant life impact. In addition to these opportunities, LifeQuest will offer tools to help people assess their spiritual growth and set goals for the future. "It's all about learning to live by the compass, not the clock," said Shelton. "Purpose and significance is determined by life directions and goals, not just punching the clock of daily demands."
