1. What does it mean in verse 3 to grow weary or fainthearted?

2. Do you think the “struggle against sin” as he mentions in verse 4 can lead to growing weary? Is sin a struggle for you?

3. Why do you think we shy away from talking about God’s discipline as is stated in verses 5-6?

4. What do you think is meant in verse 6 , “For the Lord disciplines the one he loves”?

5. How do you think we can determine the difference between God’s disciplines and life’s problems? Is every problem we encounter to be identified as God’s discipline?
