What Does Jesus Look Like
Pastor Jared explored Matthew 17 and the Mount of Transfiguration, revealing what Jesus truly looks like—not physically, but spiritually. In this pivotal moment, Jesus pulls back the veil to show Peter, James, and John His divine glory, with Moses (representing the Law) and Elijah (representing the Prophets) appearing alongside Him. The Father’s voice confirms Jesus’ identity, and we see a beautiful display of the Trinity in action.
But here’s what makes this story relevant to us: most of us won’t experience a dramatic mountaintop moment. Instead, we live in the ordinary—on random Tuesdays, in seasons of waiting, uncertain about God’s direction. Pastor Jared reminded us that faithfulness isn’t measured by mountaintop experiences; it’s measured by how we live when life is monotonous. Difficulty doesn’t excuse disobedience. Whether God is preparing you on the mountain or testing your faith in the valley, you’re called to walk with Him, stay tuned to His voice through Scripture and prayer, and trust that He’s equipping you for what’s ahead.
