Documentary Hypothesis (JEDP)
There is a liberal alternative to Moses. It is called the Documentary Hypothesis and is a widely studied academic theory proposing that the first five books of the Bible (the Pentateuch or Torah) were not written by Moses alone. Instead, it argues these texts were compiled from four distinct, originally independent written sources over several centuries.
