What Could Have Been
This week, Pastor Rick continued our study of the Gospel of Matthew with Matthew 23:29–39, where Jesus laments over Jerusalem and the religious leaders who rejected Him and the prophets before Him. Pastor Rick shared that God’s patience, His unwavering commitment to His plan, and His faithfulness to His people are all on display in this passage. He also explained that Israel’s rejection of Jesus was not the end of the story but opened the door for the church, and that Jesus remains our protector, calling us into community and prayer.
