What Not To Do!
This week, Pastor Rick continued the church’s study through the Gospel of Matthew, arriving at Matthew 23 and Jesus’ confrontation with the Pharisees over the heavy burdens they placed on the people. He warned that “the desire for praise can corrupt your motives,” reminding us that God cares more about our hearts than our outward actions. From there, he pointed to Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life — our guidance, our instruction, and our life source — and closed by outlining what it means to be a follower of Christ: chosen before the foundation of the world, believing Jesus is the Son of God, and living daily in surrender to Him.
