24 Hours of Prayer

August 11 - 12

Join us for “24 Hours of Prayer.” Starting Tuesday, August 11, at 8:00 am and concluding on Wednesday, August 12, at 8:00 am.

We invite you to be part of this powerful spiritual experience by signing up for your preferred time slot.

Let’s come together as a community, seeking God’s presence and guidance throughout these 24 hours of heartfelt prayer. See you there!

 

Suggested Prayers for the Upcoming School Year

Pray for our students’ families to be strong and unified.

Pray against school shootings for our schools.

Pray against the negative, ungodly agenda being planned regarding our schools.

Pray for wisdom and discernment for our School Board members to make godly decisions regarding the schools.

Pray for salvation, wisdom, and discernment for each Principal and Assistant Principal of our schools.

Pray against bullying in our schools.

Pray against the teaching of immorality in the schools.

Pray against the spirit of depression, anxiety, and suicide attacking the students.

Pray against the spirit of depression, anxiety, and suicide attacking our teachers, administrators, and staff members.

Pray for salvation for all the students.

Pray for salvation for our teachers, administrators, and staff members.

Pray for qualified and godly teachers and administrators to join our school districts.

Pray for salvation for the family members of the students.

Pray against drug addiction, criminality, and abuse afflicting the families of our students.

Pray that area churches would have favor to forge partnerships with our school district to sponsor school clubs and events.

Pray for all the students who participate in extracurricular activities such as sporting events. Pray for their travel and sportsmanship.

Pray for our school board to have wisdom in dealing with the growth of our district.

Pray that our district places the highest priority on education and not so much on political things that divide.

Pray for school counselors to have wisdom in dealing with students who are troubled.

Pray for all teachers and faculty that their personal lives will be blessed, in order to serve with greater energy and compassion.

Pray for all the coaches who invest in our students that their desire to win will be secondary to the life lessons they instill in the students.

Pray for the students who will need a little more support to find healthy relationships.

Pray for each campus by name:

  • Elementary Schools: (K-4): Blackburn, Claybon, Criswell, Crosby, Dewberry, Griffin, Henderson, Jacobs, Johnson, Lewis, Willett, and Wilson.
  • Intermediate School: (5-6): Jones, Rhea, Rhodes, and Smith.
  • Middle Schools: (7-8): Brown, Jackson, Themer, and Warren.
  • High Schools & Special Programs: Forney High School, North Forney High School, Forney Learning Academy, Forney Virtual Academy, and the Academies at the OC
