1. What do you think Jesus means in verse 17 when He refers to them as a faithless and twisted generation?

2. Read Mark’s account of this story in Mark 9:14-29. What does it say about life that Jesus would come down from the Mount of Transfiguration and see His apostles having a dispute with the people?

3. Read Mark 9:24. What did the father mean when he said, I believe; help my unbelief?

4. Why do you think the apostles were unable to exercise the demon from the child? They had performed this before in Luke 10.

5. Do you think it good for the apostles to seek Jesus’ answers from Jesus privately? Can we and should we learn from our mistakes?
