I’m Falling, But I Can Get Up | Joshua 23 (July 31, 2022)

1. In verse 3 Joshua states that the Lord your God has fought for you. How do you reconcile what God does for us in our battles and what we must do? The people were the ones fighting the inhabitants of the land, not God, right?

2. What do you think Joshua means in verse 6 “to do all that is written in the book of Moses”? How is it possible to live up to everything written in the Law?

3. What does Joshua mean in verse 7, “that you do not mix with these nations”?

4. What does it imply to you in verse 8 by “but you shall cling to the Lord your God”?

5. Why do you think that idolatry is so tempting to us even though we know they cannot measure up to our God?

6. How can we separate from those who oppose God today? Is this even possible with the way the world functions now?
